The NC State Library Foundation has awarded $2 million to NC State’s online content production company to help improve online education for teachers.
The NC State Libraries Foundation (NCSLF) announced on Friday that it will make a $2.25 million contribution to NCSLF, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that specializes in teaching online.NCSLHF is a member of NCSL Foundation and the National Center for Education Statistics.
The Foundation’s board of directors consists of two elected members of the NCSL community, two members of NCST, and three other NCSL members.NCST is a nonprofit organization that works to promote and advance higher education through a network of institutions of higher learning, including the University of North Carolina System.
The Foundation also will establish a grant program that supports NCSLHf’s core mission of teaching online, as well as to support its strategic goals.
The $2,000 grant is part of a $3.8 million commitment from NCSLFoundation to support NCSL.
The NCSL and NCSL foundation are both registered charities under Section 501(C) of the Internal Revenue Code.
