COLUMBUS, Ohio — Hunter Library in Columbus, Ohio, has become the first library in Ohio to become free online.
The library’s first website opened Monday morning for public comment and users can use the library’s mobile app to access the library for free.
The Library Board of Trustees approved the plan in a vote that was unanimous.
The Library Board also approved the sale of the library to the University of Akron.
The sale of Hunter will help fund the library, the board said in a statement.
