Lee County Library, IUPUI’s largest library, is under fire for its handling of a complaint from the student body regarding the library’s handling of sexual assault allegations.
The library has received several complaints since last month from students who say they were not provided with the information they needed to protect themselves from sexual assault and harassment.
A statement from the library on Friday said it would be working with the students to address the issues.
The Lee County Public Library has more than 1,100 students and more than 40,000 hours of library service.
The statement also said the library is “working to fix its own broken process and procedures to ensure that the students have all the information needed to fully understand the library system.”
The library did not respond to requests for comment.
